Ashley J. Song is a seasoned immigration attorney with over 20 years of exclusive experience in U.S. immigration law. Her deep expertise spans all areas of immigration, to include, but not limited to removal defense, family-based and employment-based green cards, naturalization, nonimmigrant visa petitions, and U.S. consular visa processing.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Chinese Language & Literature from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Touro University Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in New York. She is licensed to practice law in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, and is admitted to the U.S. District Courts for both the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
In 2011, she founded Kim, Song & Associates, PLLC in Manhattan, New York, establishing a dedicated immigration law firm. In 2025, she rebranded the firm as Chongwon Law Group to continue serving clients with a deeper commitment to community-focused immigration services.
Since 2012, Ms. Song has been a regular immigration law columnist for the Korea Daily New York, offering accessible legal insights to the Korean-American community. She has also been featured in numerous interviews and articles across major Korean news outlets, where she has provided legal commentary and expert analysis on complex immigration issues.
In 2025, she was appointed as a Legal Advisor to the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in New York, where she provides legal consultation and support to Korean nationals and members of the diaspora. In addition, she has been actively involved in the nonprofit sector, serving as Vice President and Board Member of EnoB New York from 2017 to 2023, and currently serving as its Board Chair since 2024, contributing meaningfully to the Korean-American community.
