Starting a new life in a new country is never easy. It takes courage to take that first step—especially when you're facing unfamiliar systems, unpredictable challenges, and moments of deep uncertainty. If you're standing at that threshold, I want you to know: you are not alone.
My name is Juyeon Song, founding attorney of Chongwon Law Group. I’ve dedicated over 20 years to the practice of immigration law, and in 2011, I opened my first law office in New York under the name Kim, Song & Associates, PLLC. Today, that same office continues under a new name—Chongwon—but with the same commitment and heart.
The name “Chongwon (請願)” comes from my father’s company, Cheongwon Trading, which he built with quiet integrity and perseverance over many years. For our family, that name represented more than a business—it stood for responsibility, honesty, and steady dedication. I chose this name not only to honor his legacy but also to reflect how I see my own work: as a partner in life’s important transitions.
In Korean, “Chongwon” means “clear origin.” I hope to offer clients just that—a clear, trustworthy beginning to their new journey. The word also means “a sincere petition.” And that is what every immigration application truly is: a heartfelt request to belong, to live, and to grow. At Chongwon, it is our mission to ensure that each petition is treated with the dignity and care it deserves.
We do more than process paperwork. We see the people and the stories behind every form. From start to finish, my team and I are committed to walking with you—with respect, clarity, and responsibility.
With sincerity and respect,
Juyeon Song
